Celebration Time!

Let me introduce you to Cake Guy or how I call him: Gustav. Gustav is here to welcome y’all and to get the party started! His good mood is contagious and the best part of him is that he brought tasty cake with him! Now only the other party guests have to join and the party can begin. The Pirates are coming

Jack and Morgan have been sailing on the seas for days and finally landed on a beach on which to kick off the party with some good ol’ plundering and pirate music. Did you know: Jack and Morgan have been travelling for years around the Seas of the Northern Hemisphere, from San Francisco in the West, to Wissant in France and Bacharach in Germany, to Tokyo in the East and all the way North to Saltstraumen in the Arctic. Landfall

After a perilous trip over the ocean waves the pirates start the next leg of their journey over the mountainous dunes. The big question on their lips is, will they get to the party before all the rum has gone? Did you know: LEGO Pirates was the fourth theme after Town, Space and Castle and the first theme to use heads that had a variety of prints including facial hair, eyepatches and makeup in order to help create a narrative and encourage role playing. Friendly Light

Can you imagine how great it is , after having traveled countless miles and miles in silence and darkness, when you finally reach your destination and are being greeted by colorful lights? Our befriended astronaut here feels so happy. This HAS TO BE the correct way to the celebrations. Did you know: You probably know that the astronaut was the first minifigure to look like the ones that are still being produced to date. And you may also know that he first saw the light of day more than forty years ago. But, did you know that back then all the minifigures’ faces were the same? Even the hairpieces wouldn’t tell you whether they were male or female. I do like the idea that it’s up to the viewer to see a female or a male astronaut in this image. A galactic call

As our bravo astronaut took a walk on the new planet she saw the some readings on the screen inside her helmet, something about a message of light. Since the atmosphere was breathable she pulled up the visor to see it with her own eyes. Wow! The Galactic wave of light really told a story of the coming celebration! Let’s get ready to party!

Percy was thrilled to hear about the celebrations. He was looking forward to getting together with all his other Lego friends. More importantly he was looking forward to seeing what everyone was going to wear! Fashion had changed a lot over the years and he loved seeing the cool clothes the young folk wear nowadays. To get ready, Percy first had a mud bath (he was a pig after all), then rolled in leaves, and then he was ready to party! Did you know: Fabuland was first introduced in 1979, was aimed to fill the gap between the Duplo and Lego ranges, and was designed to encourage imaginative storytelling (which as a toy photographer I am very much a fan of!) Create the things you wish existed

The news of the upcoming celebrations quickly made it to the Fantastical Forest, much to the delight of Finn the Faun. He loved singing and dancing, and he couldn’t wait to play his flute for everyone at the party! When he wasn’t frolicking you could find Finn photographing his favourite little figurines, creating fabulous fantasies for all to enjoy. Daisy Mouse

This little field mouse would visit the daisies every day at dusk. She would watch them close tight as the day turned to night. And then she knew her work would begin across the field and land, moving softly through the grass and sleeping flowers. Then as the light started to wake she would go back to the daisies and watch them open to great a new day. She would then make her way to her house of mouse and sleep for the rest of the day until she was awoken by the ravens all returning home. As the air turned silent, she would reappear and watch the daisies close. Did you Know: Story lines grow and develop when you have imagination. The Happiest Dragon

Dragons don’t often get invited to big celebrations…they have a habit of getting a little over-excited…but it had been made very clear, EVERYONE was invited to this one. Plus Dragon was told there would be plenty of Lego City Firefighters around just in case there were any accidents!
